I just learned from an internet source that Motorway Police & NHA Police is to get New Toyota Corolla E170 series. Motorway Police since the beginning in 1997 had always gotten Toyota Corolla as their squad cars; in 1997 they got 1.6 GLi Manual (E100) which felt like a smart move considering the power that car produced which was required for car chase. Then whenever corolla launched new models Motorway police always got their hands on the cars to join their fleet however for the last two generations they got the base model cars in their squad and this time too from the photographs it looks like they got 1.6 altis in their fleet which is good for 1300 with the current body weight is very under powered; it is understandable that they got these since the top of line grande 1.8 liter is above two million price mark.
I wish them all the best with controlling the traffic on Highway & Motorway with these new corollas.

Just out of curiosity, are these Corollas manual?
ReplyDeleteThe variant of these is still unknown; We get Manual in 1.3 & 1.8 liter, 1.6 is only available as automatic; 1.3 & 1.8 also have option of automatic but 1.6 doesn't
